Burgundy Rug

From $90.00

Made to order · Free shipping · DDP available

This rug is made from high-altitude wool — sheep that graze above 2,000 meters in the Atlas Mountains, where cold winters produce a naturally dense, lanolin-rich fleece. The result is a pile that feels nothing like synthetic or lowland wool. It's warm without being heavy. Soft without being fragile. The kind you sit on, not just walk over.

Rug Details

Handmade from 100% natural Moroccan wool, this rug is woven to order by Berber artisans in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Each piece is individually crafted, so small variations in pattern, size, and texture are part of its handmade character.

Natural Variation

Each rug is handmade to order, so small variations in size, pattern, color, and texture are normal and part of its authentic character. Because every piece is woven by hand using natural wool, no two rugs will be exactly the same. Slight irregularities in lines, shapes, pile, and finishing are not defects, they are signs of real handmade craftsmanship. Before shipping, we send final photos and close-up pictures so you can review your rug clearly before delivery.

Made to Order Process

After your order is placed, we confirm your selected size and begin the weaving process. Your rug is made especially for you, not taken from a warehouse. We send progress photos during production so you can follow the making of your rug before it ships.

Sizes and Custom Dimensions

You can choose from the available sizes above, or request a custom size made for your room. If you need a specific length or width, contact us and we will confirm the price, production time, and best proportion for your rug.

Care Instructions

Vacuum gently without a rotating brush. For small spills, blot immediately with a clean dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or soaking the rug. For deep cleaning, we recommend professional rug cleaning to protect the natural wool and handmade structure.

Shipping, Delivery & Returns

Each rug is handmade to order, so production time depends on the selected size and design. Once finished, your rug is carefully checked, photographed, packed, and shipped with tracking. We offer DDP shipping to the USA, Canada, Europe, the UK, and Australia, so eligible orders arrive with no surprise customs fees. For other countries, please contact us before ordering so we can check if DDP shipping is available.

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. If your rug arrives damaged or is lost during shipping, we will offer a replacement so you do not have to worry. Before shipping, we send final photos and close-up pictures so you can review the rug and avoid surprises. If you return the rug for any other reason, return shipping costs and any related taxes or fees are the customer’s responsibility.

The details behind the feel

Every finish changes how the rug looks, feels, and lives in a room. Each choice is shaped by hand and made to feel naturally at home.

With fringes

With fringes

A traditional Moroccan finish with soft wool fringes on the short sides. Adds relaxed, handmade character without feeling heavy.

Best for living rooms, bedrooms, and soft organic interiors.
Without fringes

Without fringes

A clean finished edge for a quieter, more minimal look. Easier to place under furniture or in modern, refined interiors.

Best for dining rooms, hallways, and modern homes.
Knot density

Knot density

Each rug is woven with roughly 8 to 10 knots per square inch, giving a soft, substantial feel while preserving the natural handmade movement.

Slight variation is normal because every rug is knotted by hand.
Pile height

Pile height

A pile height of about 0.80 in gives a plush, warm texture underfoot without feeling too heavy. Soft enough for bedrooms, practical for everyday.

Final height may vary slightly due to natural wool and hand finishing.

Atlas highland wool

The kind of soft you feel before you see it

Made from high-altitude wool from sheep that graze above 2,000 metres, where cold winters produce a dense, lanolin-rich fleece. Naturally resistant to stains and damp — the same wool Berber families have used for centuries.
